My Boys

So, life has been crazy for us these last few weeks! In May, we traveled to Lubbock for the sealing of my brother, Christopher, to his wife, Mandi, and their four kids. We were so happy we could be there and it was an amazing experience! We are just so happy for them and grateful for the blessings of the temple.

My cousin, Tamra, was married in the Lubbock temple the very next weekend, so the boys and I went back to Childress to spend the week with family. Unfortunately, Isaac had to go back home to work but we enjoyed our time with family and Bryson had a blast with all of his cousins the whole week! He and Tesema had a little fun in the mud one day!

You may be able to tell under all that mud that Bryson's hair is gone. Yes, we finally cut it all off! It was actually a bit of an accident. Isaac decided he needed a haircut before we left for Lubbock and decided he needed to cut it a little shorter than normal, so he decided to try the clippers instead of scissors. He started right at the front, middle of his head and went all the way back, then said "oops...it is a lot shorter than I expected". I told him there was no turning back now because Bryson had a strip shaved down the middle of his head! Anyway, he just finished buzzing him and we decided it was good for summer anyway. Bryson actually loved it because his cousins, Rykin, Braydon, and Afton all have buzzed heads so he thought he was cool like them. He just stared at himself in the mirror and kept saying, "I'm not Bryson, I'm Rykin". Poor kid had an identity crisis for like 2 weeks! He just kept asking me "where Bryson go Mama?" or "where all my hair go Mama?" Crazy kid!

Bryson is still adjusting to being big brother, and now to our new house. We closed on our house May 26th and moved in over Memorial Day weekend. We have been here one week now and are slowly getting everything unpacked. We really like our home and are excited about the changes we are making to it as well. I will get some pics of it up soon and as we make our upgrades, I will make sure and post before and after pics. We already purchased our tile we are laying in the kitchen, entryway, and laundry room and are really excited about that. It is beautiful and we found it at an AMAZING price so that just makes it even better!Anyway, I guess this house has been good for Bryson because he has never gone to sleep at night on his own, and the one week we have been here, he has gone to sleep on his own every night in his own bed without a fight! It has been great!Anyway, he loves his little brother and has really been a big help with him. He has also recently decided that he is ready to start school. He will put on his shoes, backpack, and hat and tell me "I go to school Mama. Bye, bye". He's a character!

Jaiton is also doing really well. He is our super relaxed, easy baby! I have realized that my tiny baby boys don't stay so tiny for very long! Jaiton got sick with fever and congestion when he was five weeks old and we had to take him to the doctor. Luckily everything was fine and he got better with some antibiotics, but we got to find out that he was already about 13 lbs. I am sure he is over 14 lbs now and our 7 week old is wearing 3-6 month clothing. He is a little chunker and we love him!

Isaac and I are doing well and just enjoying life in our new house with our two beautiful little boys! Isaac is enjoying being much closer to work and I am just trying to get back on a regular schedule with the boys, activities, housework, and exercise. I just got cleared to start running again and went for my first run today (if you can call it that)! :) Let's just say it was pretty pitiful but you have to start somewhere, right?!
